I’ve just discovered today that I couldn’t install new version of VirtualBox due to problem with Installation failed! Error: System can not find the path specified.
. After some investigation here is the solution:
- Open command line
cmd
- Go to the directory where is your VirtualBox installation file. Mine installation file is (at the moment)
VirtualBox-4.3.4-91027-Win.exe
- Run
VirtualBox-4.3.4-91027-Win.exe -extract
. It will extract files to directory C:\users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\VirtualBox or to your defined TEMP directory - Above location should contains:
common.cab
,VirtualBox-4.3.4-r91027-MultiArch_amd64.msi
andVirtualBox-4.3.4-r91027-MultiArch_x86.msi
. Select amd64 for 64-bit Windows version or x86 for 32-bit Windows version and install it.
That solved my problem with VirtualBox installation.

I can not find the VirtualBox folder.
When I execute the extract script, a prompt directs me to the location. But much that I search, the VirtualBox is not there in Temp. For some reason, I also have two Temp files. Anyway, I don’t know what else to do. Please help. Many thanks in advance.
